8 of the 22 problems below are not faults. The modeler does that on purpose, and they are marked by design.

I can't work out how to save

  1. by design

There is no save button . Fix: Hold HOME and press ACTION. The word SAVE printed under the Upper Knob describes that gesture, not the knob.

it won't power up, or it cuts out on my pedalboard

  1. The supply cannot deliver 3 amps . Fix: It needs 9 V at 3 A from a single output, which most isolated pedalboard supplies cannot give. Use the adapter that came with it. Line 6 recommend nothing else.

I've run out of blocks

  1. You are on firmware older than 3.0 . Fix: Update the firmware. Version 3.0 raised the cap from six blocks to eight, and it is free.

  2. Stereo blocks cost double . Fix: Make anything mono that does not need to be stereo. Into a single amp or a mono desk feed, every block can be mono.

  3. Separate Amp and Cab blocks . Fix: Use a single Amp+Cab block instead. It takes one position instead of two.

it sounds thin or fizzy

  1. A cab block is running into a real guitar amp . Fix: Bypass the cab. A real amp and speaker need no speaker simulation. Turn it on for headphones, a powered speaker or the desk.

  2. by design

You are only using the RIGHT output . Fix: Use L/MONO for a mono rig. The right jack alone gives you half the signal.

a parameter I expect isn't there

  1. by design

Three knobs cannot show everything . Fix: Press ◀ PAGE ▶ in Edit view. Most blocks have several pages of parameters.

my snapshot edits vanish when I switch snapshots and come back

  1. by design

Snapshot Edits is set to Discard . Fix: Global Settings > Preferences > Snapshot Edits sets this. Recall (the default) keeps your changes as you left them. Discard returns the snapshot to its last-saved state. Discard suits playing live and loses edits while you are building. Hold BYPASS and press SAVE to flip it at any time. The camera icon on the Home screen is gray for Recall and red for Discard.

a snapshot I just selected sounds identical to the last one

  1. by design

Nothing has been changed in it yet . Fix: An unedited snapshot carries the state you arrived with. It becomes its own sound the moment you change something in it. Nothing is broken.

loading a preset jumps to a snapshot I didn't choose

  1. by design

It recalls whichever snapshot was active when the preset was saved . Fix: Saving a preset stores all of its snapshots and remembers which one you were on. If a song should always start on the intro sound, select that snapshot and then save. The choice is made at save time, not at load time.

my delay or reverb cuts off the instant I bypass it

This is a setting inside the block. Tails cutting off at a preset change is a different problem.

  1. by design

That block's Trails setting is Off . Fix: Trails Off mutes repeats and decays the moment the block is bypassed. Trails On lets them ring out, through a bypass and through a snapshot change. It is set per block, so check every delay and reverb.
