what you actually bought
the one thing
It is a whole guitar rig in one box—amps, speakers, microphones and effects, all modeled. Whether it sounds right depends almost entirely on what you plug it into.
what it is
A pedal-sized HX processor with the full Line 6 model library, three footswitches and eight block positions. It drops into a board you already have as an effects unit, as the amp at the end of a chain, or around an amp's loop in a four-cable rig.
check your modeler
If yours has eight footswitches it is an HX Stomp XL. If it has no amp models at all it is an HX Effects. Each has its own manual.
check this first
If the footswitches seem to have stopped working, you are in the wrong footswitch mode. The PAGE buttons cycle Stomp, Scroll, Preset and Snapshot.
