The 3-Wai XL is a footswitchable high-gain head from small builder A-Wai. A 12AY7 clean channel with its own Treble, Bass, Mid and Volume sits beside an overdrive channel with Crunch and Lead modes (Gain 1 and Gain 2 on cascaded 12AX7 stages), a Fat switch and its own Treble/Bass/Mid and Volume. A parallel effects loop with Mix control feeds a 12AX7 long-tail phase inverter, a dual Master and two fixed-bias EL34s on a solid-state supply.
