The A-3B is a Japanese Ace Tone valve combo with one Treble and two Normal inputs into a single channel. Two 12AX7 stages carry Treble, Bass and Volume, followed by a Lead/Bass voicing switch. A 6AV6 tremolo oscillator with speed and depth controls and a footswitch jack modulates the output bias. A 12AU7 phase inverter drives a push-pull pair of 50H-B26 output valves on fixed bias, with a solid-state rectifier.
