The Altec Lansing 1569A is a professional tube power amplifier, the four-output-valve big brother of the 1568A. A line input with an optional plug-in matching transformer feeds a level control and two direct-coupled 6CG7 stages, then a 6CG7 cathode-coupled phase inverter driving four 6CA7/EL34s in parallel push-pull on fixed bias. Two 5U4GB rectifiers power it, and a multi-tap output runs from 4 ohms to a 70-volt line. There are no tone controls.
