The Altec Lansing 353A is an early-1960s stereo tube integrated amplifier for home hi-fi. A selector picks mic, tape head, magnetic or ceramic phono, radio, tape or multiplex, with two 12AX7 preamp stages per side and phono/tape equalisation. Balance, loudness and a rumble filter precede Bass and Treble, then a 12AX7 gain stage and 12AX7 phase inverter per side driving a push-pull pair of 6L6GCs, with stereo/mono and centre-speaker outputs.
