The Ampeg SVP-CL is a rack-mount bass preamp drawn in 1999 whose signal path runs through a board of 12AX7-type dual triodes. The front panel has gain, bass, treble, a mid control with a five-position frequency switch on a tapped inductor, and master. An Ultra Low selector offers sub cut, low cut and two ultra-low voicings, alongside Ultra High, Bright, -12 dB pad and mute switches, with a tuner out and a balanced XLR output switchable pre or post.
