Ampeg V-3 (MTI) - Channel 1 preset

Verified · 90/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

This V-3 is an MTI-era Ampeg guitar head with two 6550 output valves. Channel 1 has pre volume, a Mid Shift switch on an inductor and post volume, with a soft/hard clipping option; channel 2 is a simpler stage with a single volume. Both share bass, middle and treble, master and presence, and a 12AT7 drives the spring reverb. Relays switch channel and reverb from a footswitch, and a 12AX7 long-tail phase inverter drives the 6550s.
