The Ampeg VT-120 was a 120-watt all-tube guitar head from the early 1970s, part of the VT (Vintage Tone) series that combined features of the V-series guitar amplifiers with larger output power. Using six 6L6GC output tubes to reach 120 watts, the VT-120 offered full-stage volume with the warm American tube character of Ampeg's guitar amplifier line. The VT series complemented the V-series models during Ampeg's brief but productive period as a serious guitar amplifier manufacturer in the early 1970s.
