The VT-40 is Ampeg's 60-watt 4x10 guitar combo from the early 1970s, powered by two 7027A (6L6-type) tubes on a silicon bridge. Its bright and normal channels each have a sensitivity switch and Ultra Hi switch, feeding bass/treble controls and a five-position midrange selector, with tube-driven spring reverb. It is a loud, clean American combo with a punchy mid-focused voice.
