Ashton VP50 - Normal preset
Verified · 85/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The VP50 is the 50-watt sibling of Ashton's VP100, drawn in 2003 on the same preamp. Relays switch between a normal channel and an overdrive channel with two footswitchable gain settings and a JFET boost, and each channel has its own treble, bass and middle, driven from a 12AT7. Op-amp spring reverb with level, an effects loop and master follow, and a 12AX7 phase inverter drives a push-pull pair of EL34s on a solid-state rectifier into its speaker.
- Wattage: 50W
- Channels: 2
- Preamp tubes: 3× 12AX7, 1× 12AT7
- Power tubes: 2× EL34
