The Carvin SX100H is a 100-watt high-gain guitar head from the early 1990s featuring a dedicated high-gain channel aimed at the hard rock and metal market. The preamp section uses multiple 12AX7 gain stages to produce saturated, tight distortion tones while retaining a usable clean channel. The SX100H was Carvin's most aggressive guitar amplifier of the early 1990s.
