The Harlequin is a small single-channel combo from Cornford, the Kent, UK builder, built around a single-ended EL84. Two inputs feed four cascaded triode stages: a volume after the first and a gain control after the second, then a passive treble and bass stack with a Voice switch and a master. The EL84 is cathode-biased with no phase inverter, on a solid-state bridge rectifier, so it breaks up at home, studio and small-gig volumes.
