The BlueVoodoo BV-50H is the 50-watt head of Crate's BlueVoodoo tube line, built to bring high-gain valve tone to a working-musician price. Two 12AX7s run a clean path and a gain path with its own gain, volume and three-band EQ, switched by optocouplers. Op-amp stages drive the spring reverb and effects loop, and a third 12AX7 long-tail phase inverter with presence in the feedback loop drives two 6L6s on a solid-state rectifier, with a line out.
