The Palomino V16 is a compact valve combo from Crate's early-2000s Palomino series. Three 9-pin dual triodes handle the preamp and phase inverter: two gain stages with a gain control and a boost switch, then high, mid and low controls and a level. A long-tail inverter drives two cathode-biased EL84s with no negative feedback, on a solid-state rectifier, and op-amps drive and recover the spring reverb.
