The Dr. Z Route 66 is a 32-watt single-channel amp built around a pair of KT66 power tubes, an EF86 pentode input stage and a 12AX7 long-tailed-pair phase inverter, with a 5AR4 rectifier and adjustable fixed bias. With no negative feedback and only Volume, Bass and Treble controls, it gives a raw, open, touch-sensitive tone with a lot of harmonic complexity.
