The IE4 is a four-channel all-valve guitar preamp by Bruce Egnater, built by Rocktron in the late 1990s, with no power amp. Front and rear inputs feed eight 12AX7WA valves arranged as cascaded gain stages, with optocoupler-switched signal paths selecting the channels under MIDI control. Each channel has its own gain, treble, middle, bass, presence and master, and the output stage has a dual output-level control for the rear outputs.
