Engl Programmable Preamp preset
Verified · 80/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
ENGL's early programmable rack valve preamp, drawn on two sheets, with no power amp. A JFET input stage feeds a TCA140 voltage-controlled gain block and two ECC83s, with gain, lead drive and reverb level set by stored control voltages rather than panel knobs. Op-amp stages run a spring reverb, then voltage-controlled treble, middle, bass and frequency filters, an effects send and return and an LM13600 output volume stage.

Gridleak extracts amp parameters from original circuit schematics using AI vision — component values, gain staging, tone stack topology, tube types — then generates native preset files for every supported modeler. Every extraction is scored 0–100 and the score is published.
