This 1940s Epiphone Electar Zephyr is an early all-valve guitar amp. Three inputs, each with its own small level control, feed a 6SJ7 pentode, then a volume and a tone control, a second 6SJ7 gain stage and a third 6SJ7 acting as a paraphase phase inverter. These drive a push-pull pair of 6L6GAs into a 12-inch speaker, with a 5Y3GT rectifier. The original used a field-coil speaker as the supply choke.
