The Epiphone 101 (TUL-4032) is a small Kalamazoo-built student amp. Two inputs feed one half of a 12AX7A, a tone control and a volume, and the other half drives a single 6BQ5 (EL84) running single-ended and cathode-biased into the speaker. A second 12AX7A is a phase-shift tremolo oscillator with a frequency control that switches it off, and a 6X4 valve rectifier supplies the amp. It breaks up easily at low volume.
