Epiphone Electar Zephyr (1949) preset
Verified · 85/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
This late-1940s Epiphone Electar Zephyr was built for Epiphone by Danelectro, before Gibson bought Epiphone. Two versions exist. The tremolo version has instrument and mic inputs with their own volumes, a 5879 pentode preamp, a 6SL7GT driver and inverter, and a 6SF5GT tremolo oscillator. The later version has three inputs, volume and tone, and three 6SJ7 pentodes, with the speaker field coil as the filter choke. Both drive a pair of 6L6Gs on a 5U4G rectifier with no negative feedback.
