The '57 Champ is Fender's reissue of the 5F1 tweed Champ, drawn in late 2008 and built to the original's simple layout. Two inputs feed a 12AX7A with a single volume control and no tone control, driving a single-ended, cathode-biased 6V6GT through one output transformer, with a 5Y3GT valve rectifier. At about 5 watts it stays clean at low settings and breaks up quickly as the volume comes up.
