The 5C3 is a wide-panel tweed Deluxe from the early 1950s. Three inputs feed a 6SC7 twin triode whose halves form separate microphone and instrument paths, each with its own volume, sharing one tone control. A second 6SC7 works as a paraphase inverter for a cathode-biased pair of 6V6GTs on a 5Y3GT rectifier, with no negative feedback, and there is an extra speaker jack. It is a direct ancestor of the 5E3, with the same warm, early-breakup character.
