The AA1164 Princeton Reverb is the blackface Princeton with reverb and vibrato, a single-channel combo with two inputs, volume, treble and bass. A 12AT7 drives the spring reverb and half a 12AX7 recovers it, while another 12AX7 half runs a bias-modulating vibrato with speed and intensity, both pedal-switchable. A 12AX7 paraphase inverter drives a fixed-bias pair of 6V6GTs from a 5U4GB rectifier. Its sweet clean tone, smooth early breakup and deep reverb at low volume made it a favorite recording amp.
