The Bassman 70 is a silverface-era Fender bass head rated 70 watts RMS. The Bass Instrument channel has volume, treble, bass and a Deep switch, and the Normal channel has volume, treble, bass and a bright switch. Both feed a further 7025 gain stage and a master volume, then a 12AT7 long-tail inverter drives a fixed-bias pair of 6L6GCs from a silicon bridge rectifier, with an output tube matching trim and a line/recording out. It is voiced warmer and fuller than the guitar amps of the same period.
