Fender Bassman 5B6 preset
Verified · 88/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The 5B6 is the original TV-front tweed Bassman from the early 1950s, the first Fender amp built for the new electric bass. Two inputs feed the two halves of a 6SC7 with their plates tied together, then a single volume and tone, which sit on a separate control panel wired through an octal plug. A 6SL7GT gain stage and paraphase inverter drive two cathode-biased 5881s with negative feedback from the speaker, fed by a 5U4G rectifier.
