The 5E6 is the mid-1950s narrow-panel tweed Bassman, one of the first 4×10 Bassmans and a direct ancestor of the 5F6-A. Its two channels have one input and one volume each and share bass, treble and presence controls. Two 12AY7 stages and a 12AX7 phase inverter drive two fixed-bias 6L6Gs, with a selenium bias rectifier, fed by a pair of 5U4G rectifiers for a firmer low end.
