The AA165 is a mid-1960s blackface Bassman head. Its Bass Instrument channel has three gain stages and a Deep switch, and its blackface-style Normal channel has a bright cap. A 12AT7 long-tail phase inverter drives two fixed-bias 6L6GCs on a silicon rectifier for about 50 watts of tight, clean tone.
