Fender Bassman AA864 - Normal preset

Verified · 92/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

The AA864 is an early blackface Bassman head from the mid-1960s. The Bass Instrument channel has two inputs, treble, bass with a 10K middle-position tap, volume and a Deep switch, and adds a third 7025 gain stage; the Normal channel has treble, bass, volume and a Bright switch. A 12AT7 long-tail inverter drives two fixed-bias 6L6GCs from a silicon diode rectifier. It moved the Bassman from the brownface sound to the brighter, tighter blackface voice.
