The Edge Deluxe is Fender's hand-wired signature combo for U2's The Edge, an updated take on his 1957 tweed 5E3 Deluxe. It keeps the 5E3's Normal and Bright channels with their own volumes, the single tone control, a paraphase inverter, two cathode-biased 6V6GTs and a 5Y3GT rectifier, but adds a 12AX7 input tube, custom-taper volumes, smaller inverter coupling caps for tighter bass, screen resistors and a 12-inch Celestion Blue.
