The 5E4-A is a mid-1950s narrow-panel tweed Super, a 2×10 combo with Instrument and Mic volumes and shared Bass, Treble and Presence controls. Two 12AY7s handle the input and second gain stages, and a 12AX7 long-tail phase inverter drives a pair of 6V6GTs on a 5U4GA rectifier, with a standby switch. It gives a lively, open tweed tone that breaks up when pushed.
