Fender Pro Amp 5B5 - Microphone preset

Verified · 80/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

The 5B5 is an early-1950s TV-front tweed Pro Amp, a 1×15 combo with Instrument and Microphone channels. Each channel has two inputs and its own volume, and there is a shared tone control. Two 6SC7 dual triodes handle the preamp, and a third 6SC7 works as a paraphase inverter. They drive a push-pull pair of 6L6s on a 5U4 rectifier. The tone is warm and round and compresses when pushed.
