The 5E5-A is a late-1950s narrow-panel tweed Pro Amp, a 1×15 combo. Instrument and Mic channels, each with two inputs and its own Volume, share Treble, Bass and Presence controls. Two 12AY7s handle the input and second gain stages, and a 12AX7 long-tail phase inverter drives a pair of fixed-bias 6L6GBs on a 5U4GA rectifier. It gives full, punchy tweed tone and a thick breakup when pushed.
