The 5D4 is a mid-1950s tweed Super, a 2×10 combo with four inputs, Instrument and Microphone volumes and a shared Tone control. Two 12AY7s form the input stages and a 12AX7 works as a paraphase inverter, driving a pair of cathode-biased 6L6Gs on a 5U4G rectifier with a standby switch. It has a warm, open tweed voice with more headroom than the Deluxe.
