The Twin (often called "The Twin" or Red Knob Twin) is a 100-watt 2×12" combo introduced by Fender in 1987 as a high-powered, feature-rich replacement for the Twin Reverb. It features two channels with independent gain and master volume controls, onboard spring reverb, a five-band graphic EQ, and a bias switch to accommodate both 6L6 and EL34 output tubes. The amp was designed to offer versatility for gigging musicians, though its sound is often considered more hi-fi and sterile than vintage blackface or silverface Twin designs. It was produced through the early 1990s as part of Fender's Red Knob series.
