The Tremolux 6G9-A is a brown-panel Tremolux circuit revision from approximately 1961–1962, transitioning the amp from the tweed design with a new cosmetic look and a refined circuit. It delivers roughly 12–15 watts from two 6V6 power tubes and includes Fender's bias-modulated tremolo circuit in a dedicated vibrato channel. The 6G9-A was a popular mid-range model offering tremolo and a warm, harmonically textured clean tone in a compact 1×12" package. Its moderate power output allows for earlier breakup compared to higher-wattage Fender combos.
