The Fender Twin is one of the most iconic and long-lived amplifier designs in electric guitar history, introduced in 1952 and produced in various forms through the present day. Over its lifetime it has used 6L6, 5881, and 6L6GC output tubes in configurations ranging from 30 watts in the early tweed era to 135 watts in the silverface period, always paired with two 12" speakers in a combo configuration. The Twin is synonymous with clean American guitar tone — crystalline highs, glassy midrange, and tight, extended lows at extraordinary volume levels. It has been the benchmark clean amplifier for professional guitarists across virtually every musical genre.

Known for: Dick Dale, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton.
