This is the GA-5 Skylark in its 12AX7 version, Gibson's small student amp after the earlier Les Paul Junior name and 6SJ7 front end were dropped. Two inputs feed both halves of the 12AX7, with one volume control and no tone control, driving a single-ended, cathode-biased 6V6 on a 5Y3 rectifier, with feedback from the speaker. At about 4 watts it breaks up easily at low volume.
