Gretsch 6161 - Channel 1 preset
Verified · 90/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The Gretsch 6161 is a Valco-built combo with two channels, each with Treble and Bass input jacks on its own 12AX7 triode and its own volume control, plus a tone control. A 12AX7 adds gain and works as a paraphase inverter for a cathode-biased push-pull pair of 6973 output tubes, on a 5Y3GT rectifier, into two 10-inch speakers. The third 12AX7 runs a tremolo oscillator with a speed control and footswitch that modulates the channel 2 stage.
