Gretsch 6160 - Channel 1 preset
Verified · 85/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The Gretsch 6160 Chet Atkins is a Valco-built piggyback amp with a separate preamp and power pack. Two channels, three inputs each, run on 12AX7 stages with their own volume, treble and bass. A 12AX7 tremolo has speed and intensity with a footswitch, and a built-in tuner tone oscillator has frequency, volume and on/off controls. The power pack runs a cathode-biased push-pull pair of 7027s (or 6L6GCs) on a 5U4G rectifier.
