The 50-J is an early Guild combo with three inputs (guitar, accordion and mic) into a 6AU6 pentode preamp, followed by volume and tone controls. A 12AX7 adds gain and splits phase, with feedback from the speaker, for a push-pull pair of 6AQ5A output tubes on a 5Y3 rectifier, about 12 watts into one 12-inch speaker. Half of a second 12AX7 runs a tremolo with speed and intensity controls.
