Guild Thunderbird Superstar - Normal preset
Verified · 85/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The Thunderbird Superstar is a Guild amp built as separate preamp and power chassis, drawn in 1968. Normal and Tremolo-Reverb channels, two inputs each, have their own volume, bass and treble on 12AX7 stages. A 6GW8 drives and recovers the spring reverb, and a 12AX7 oscillator runs an optical tremolo with speed and depth. In the power chassis a 7247 gain stage and split-load inverter drive a fixed-bias push-pull pair of 6L6GCs.
