The W-2 is Heathkit's Williamson-type hi-fi power amplifier kit, not a guitar amp. It uses the classic Williamson layout: a 6SN7 input stage direct-coupled to a split-load inverter, a 6SN7 driver and a push-pull pair of 5881s for about 20 watts, with a separate 5V4G power supply. Its low-distortion, clean design made the Williamson circuit a hi-fi standard.
