The Hiwatt DR504 Custom 50 is the 50-watt head in Hiwatt's Custom range, sharing the DR103's layout: Normal and Brilliant channels with ECC83 input stages, a shared treble/middle/bass stack, presence and master volume, and an ECC83 phase inverter driving two EL34s. It runs a solid-state rectifier and a Partridge output transformer. It gives the Hiwatt clean punch and firm overdrive at a more manageable volume than the 100-watt head.
