The Attax Preamp is an early-1990s Hughes & Kettner rack guitar preamp with no power amp. Clean has its own volume, bass, mid and treble; Crunch and Lead each have their own gain and volume and share a second bass, mid and treble. Op-amp and FET stages handle the solid-state path, and two relay-switched ECC83 stages add tube gain to the drive channels. An effects loop with mix control and a master volume feed the output.
