The Kalamazoo Model 1 is the smallest amp in Gibson's budget Kalamazoo line: a 12AX7A preamp driving a single 6BQ5 (EL84) output tube, with a 6X4 rectifier and about 5 watts. It has just volume and tone and, unlike the Model 2, no tremolo. It saturates early, making it a popular small recording amp.
