Kay K-505 - Channel 1 preset

Verified · 86/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

The Kay K-505 is a simple all-tube combo. Two pairs of inputs each feed their own volume control and one half of a 12AX7, whose outputs mix into a 12AU7 that amplifies and splits the phase for a push-pull pair of cathode-biased 6V6s. A tone control works as a treble cut across the output tubes, and a 5Y3 rectifier with a standby switch powers it, driving two speakers. It gives a warm, direct sound with a thick breakup when turned up.
