Kay 708 - Channel 1 preset

Verified · 82/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

The Kay 708 is a solid-state combo from the transistor era of this Chicago budget brand. Two groups of three inputs each feed their own transistor preamp with a ganged volume/tone control and a second tone pot, plus a footswitch jack. A two-transistor oscillator with a depth control provides tremolo. A driver and interstage transformer feed germanium 2N301 output transistors into a 12-inch 6-ohm speaker, with an extension amp output.
