The Kay 859 is an early, very simple tube amp. A Guitar input, through a fixed divider, and a Mic input with its own volume each feed half of a 6C8G twin triode, mixed into a 6C5 gain stage. That drives a 6N6, a direct-coupled tube with driver and output sections in one envelope, single-ended into an 8-inch field-coil speaker that plugs into the chassis. A type 80 rectifier and choke power it. Low-powered, with a soft, early breakup.
