Kay 703 (2nd version) - Normal preset
Close · 68/100 confidence. Most values readable. Minor gaps filled by inference from similar circuits.
The Kay 703 (second version) is a revised iteration of the popular 703 chassis, produced in the mid-1960s with updated component specification and minor circuit changes reflecting cost and availability shifts in the period. The fundamental character remains consistent with the first version — a compact, single-channel 6V6 combo with natural, touch-responsive breakup — but the second version may exhibit slight differences in tone stack tuning or transformer specification. Like its predecessor, it is prized for its lo-fi charm and easy-to-drive saturation. The two versions are distinguishable by chassis markings and component date codes.
